PLANNING A CLEARANCE

Waste removal after a renovation: what to show in your quote photos

By WastePro · Published 14 October 2026

Prepare a clear builders’ waste enquiry with material descriptions, full-pile photographs and access details.

AFTER THE RENOVATION: WORK DONE. WHAT GOES? Show the materials and access.

Show the entire collection

Photograph waste from each part of the job rather than just the front of a mixed pile. Say whether more waste will be added before collection. Explain which items are waste and which are materials you still need.

Describe the materials

List what you know is present, such as timber, rubble or packaging. Mention heavy pieces and any material you cannot identify. Ask about acceptance before booking; a mixed pile is not confirmation that every material can be collected.

Include access and the work schedule

Show the route from the waste to the collection point and explain parking or gate restrictions. If other trades need the area clear, mention their planned date and discuss availability.

Agree the handover

For a job at someone else’s property, clarify who is arranging the quotation, who will provide access and which items are included. Make sure the on-site contact understands the scope.

Send updates before collection

If the pile grows, send new photographs and ask whether the price or arrangements need changing. WastePro offers builders’ waste removal enquiries across Bury and surrounding areas.
